Forbidden Planet Extras

I've read that we can expect "The Invisible Boy" as one of the extras on the FP Blu release. Anybody know if it will be the entire movie, in correct aspect ratio, AND in full HD? Not a deal breaker for me, but would sure be nice!

This is correct. The same extras were used for both the DVD and HD DVD releases. There a couple short films included in the extras and they are all presented in 480.

It would have been nice if the included some of the extras on the Crterion Laser Disk set.

I HIGHLY doubt full-HD, and sounds like it's barely been tweaked from its SD-extra release...
But kudos to Warner for remembering it.

I have the HD-DVD version, and I would imagine the BD will have at least as many special features. The Invisible Boy film was included, as well as three documentaries that I liked: "Amazing! Exploring the Far Reaches of Forbidden Planet", "Robby the Robot: Engineering a Sci-Fi Icon", and the TCM original "Watch the Skies". The special features were all standard definition 480p.
