Just to let anyone know, I finally got my Lite-On burner recording data at least with my mac mini - Had to spring for toast 8 titanium software. I'm waiting to get my first BD movie to see if I can play anything.

AFAIK, you currently need to install Windows (using Bootcamp or similar app) in order to playback Blu-ray movies. When OSX 10.5 Leopard ships, it should support Blu-ray movie playback on OSX. But good luck with your experiment.
