Default WB advertising BD in HD DVD cases!

A friend of mine who prefers HD DVD discovered this and took a picture. He isn't the type to plant evidence and make false claims (especially when it comes to WB and his precious HD DVD). As soon as he opened his HD DVD copy of Smalville S6 he discovered......... THIS!

I couldn't help but laugh out loud and shed a tear of pride/joy all at the same time.

It's just an assembly mistake. But it's good for a laugh.

GASP! I have never intended to see the inside of one of those red boxes - it's almost like catching your parent's doing something you're not supposed to see.

Red is the color of the devil!

The next flyer will state "We are now switching from duel release to a single BD release. Glad you have enjoyed your HD-DVDs but we would suggest you invest in a BD player or duel player to enable you play the few HD-DVDs already in your collection".

Someone at WB may be preparing hd-dvd folks for the switch next year to BD. They don't want to do it the way Paramount did.

It is pretty funny, but it is an obvious mistake.

for sure Warner likes Blu-ray : in France the 300 ad is this : the three cases (DVD, HD DVD and Blu-ray), the guy saying available ij DVD and HD format, then a pause, and you have great experiment with Blu-ray on PS3 ... !!!

like others have said, a simple mistake at the replicator. Things like this happen all the time. For Planet earth, some of the BD cases had some HD DVDs in them. That is also why most large studios don't want porn replicated at the same place. Imagine you buy Bambi and they made a mistake because at the same time they were replicating a porn title with a similar title

you are right anthony. when i got PLANET EARTH when it was released at first, i found an HDDVD disc in there with the BD discs. I know its unusual, and rarely occurs, i wish i took a picture of it. anyways, i took it back to circuit city and showed them the disc. they had me bring them another copy, opened it and gave me the BD disc version of it.

if I were you, I will keep it. A HD DVD bonus (although I will never play it), can be subjected to object of torture

I don't get it. The guy bought BD to see BDs in his player. Why would he keep a pack where some of the episodes are unwatchable because someone at the replicator made a mistake. what would he do? not watch some episodes? busy a second set to watch? I don't get your point.
