Default Question about Onkyo 705

I have an Onkyo 705 hooked up to KEF 2005.2 speakers w/sub. I noticed that when it is set to Direct audio, no subwoofer activity. but if I set the listening mode to a different mode, I do get sub activity, if this is the case, what is the best listening mode to pick and how do you find this info?

Thanks.

Check out the manual, pages 82-83 should help. You can download it here: http://www.us.onkyo.com/download/own...m?cat=Receiver

Hope this helps.
