I pre-ordered the 3D combo pack.
I saw this in theaters a few days ago and honestly I didn't find there to be all that much "3D"ness to it. There were some moments during the concert footage where beach balls and bubbles and lasers were clearly 3D but the rest of the footage didn't really even have much depth to it. A little disappointed on that aspect but that aside, I loved the movie. I'm probably going to go see it again today or tomorrow. |

I get the joke of why one might admire KP in 3D, but snickering aside, I would never got to the theater to see this, but if I did, I'd want to see it in 2D.
I'll wait for reviews of the blu. KP said this is like her version of Madonna's Truth or Dare and that's not a whole lot of fun for repeat viewing except for the music and whatever one thinks of her music now, she's probably the biggest musical stars since the Beatles. And maybe the last of her kind. KP makes some good pop songs, but I'm not sure I really care about her life enough, even with the Russel Brand drama, to see how her daily life is juxtaposed with her music. It's like a movie long version of tabloid tv. If we were talking a $15 concert blu and it included all of her hits and she was actually singing, I'd definitely want to pick it up. The documentary aspect "might" be interesting once, but I don't think I'd ever watch it again. While a really well done concert blu would be fun to pop on with some friends over. |

According to HighDefDiscNews this is scheduled for a September 4th release.
EDIT: Their links pointed to WalMart's website which DID say Sept 4th but now says Sept. 18th. Last edited by cmcclure16; 07-21-2012 at 05:06 PM. |
