Default Gas Prices?

I know this is way off topic,

I bought gas on Saturday and on Sunday it went up $0.12

Does anyone knows why Gas prices in the US have went up about $0.25 in the last week?

Higher gas prices mean less money for Blu-rays.

Last i heard teh barrel was trading for about 95 bucks. Could be the cost, since now winter is coming and refineries and switching to produce more heating oil than gasoline, and ussually the US tries to build and bigger reserve on the winter. I feel your pain.

Well other than barrel trading, it would be nice to have a good reason why. I guess it could because of winter, but it still hurts. Higher prices means less money to buy Blu-rays, gifts for the holidays, etc..

In my areas the price of gas is at a record high, I never since it this high.

Been tracking gas prices for a while. I usually take the futures price of wholesale unleaded * 15 percent and add the .40 cents tax (for my area).
I calculate for me that gas will rise to $3.17, from the $2.99 its at now.

Could be the devaluation of the U.S. currency, worldwide.

The potential upside to a weaker dollar is that U.S. exports become cheaper. So foreign markets, which in many cases already are leaning strongly Blu, could really start producing for the format.

Even with higher energy prices, energy costs as a fraction of GDP are significantly below historical highs.

where i work higher gas prices means more business, unfortunately i have to drive 30 miles to get to work. so gas prices are a love/hate thing for me.
