Default Full Metal Jacket Question

I did a search and I couldnt find anything on this movie.

What are the differences between the 2 releases other than the cover art? Did they do a "Fifth Element" and remaster it because of poor quality on the first transfer or did they add special features or what?

I appreciate the help. I got confused walking into my BB today.

I got the first release... nothing special about it. It doesn't surprise me that they remastered it. Too good of a movie to half-ass.

I'm going to sell it on eBay soon and order every Kubrick movie at once when this BD exclusive blitz slows down a bit.

They added better sound and changed the wide screen size. It is more cleaned up.

Remember it is from Warner and not a blu only company.

Check out the featurette on FMJ. I believe it was Rafterman that said he actually has Marine tell him that FMJ is the real thing. I've heard that the Marines Corps actually shows FMJ while in training.
