especially since the player is a grand and the ps3 will be cheaper, I'll be real pissed if ps3 has it and the player doesn't. I might have to take it back if ps3 has it and bdps-1 goes w/out. There was a post by Jim Pullman that said Sony was too far along to include 1.3 in the player Any info anyone?

does anyone own a t.v. or receiver that supports 1.3? 'cause honestly, if you have nothing that supports it, what good is it?

Of course HDMI 1.3 may not be the only reason that you might want to replace your bluray player but it could be one that you might want to cover early on. Just because it is not used today does not mean it will never be desired. |

With so much at stake this fall and winter, my interest at CEDIA in Denver, September 13th - 17th. will be quite exciting and revealing. Since this is an exhibit for the Custom A/V industry, no B.S. is allowed, just the straight scoop, since at this show "We" the custom A/V dealers are the Buyer and it is there I get with the major powers that be and get precise and detailed answers. The pre-show buzz is that there 'will' be a large array of products using the HDMI 1.3 spec's. - Pre-Amp's, Receivers & DVD Players. being exhibited. Some products will have immediate impact, while others are prototypes of products to come to market in the 1st. or 2nd. quarter of 2007.
I will return on Monday, the 18th. and will post a detailed synopsis of who has what and their plans on a market date. Are there any other on the Forum CEDIA Members and plan on attending ? I wouldn't miss it !!!! Jim |
