Default Blu-ray buyers buy more movies than HD DVD buyers

Yesterday we saw the HD DVD promo group put out a number that said 750k hd dvd drives have been sold (this included the xbox add on) if you include the add on, the number is a good approx. and believable. vgcharts.org has listed that 2.6 million ps3 units have been sold in NA which assuming the 20% rule it is about 500k ps3s, standalone sales stand at about 300k from the last thing i heard (if you have proof otherwise please post a link or say why you think this number is wrong). so really hardwarewise blu-ray only has hd dvd beat by about 50k units, so how come blu-ray outsells hd dvd 2:1 every week. only answer is that blu-ray owners are buying more movies than hd dvd owners or that the 20% number is off and its more like 33%, if thats the case then hd dvd owners are going to be sick when they see another 2 million units fly off xmas shelves this xmas. btw: vgcharts estimated that ps3 sold about 325k units worldwide last week. so next time you hear an hd dvd fanboy excaliming 90k, tell him ps3 is selling 325k units and that doesn't even include our standalones.
