Default The lies continue on Amazon.

Wow, I couldn't believe it when I read this posting Why no HD DVD of Pirates
In reply to an earlier post on Nov 28, 2006 1:57 PM PST
Derek L. Thomas says:
actually, disney has announced that it is going to release this and Cars both on HD-DVD to see how well they do because of blu-ray not making the splash it was supposed to. if Blu-ray doesn't start making there promises come to light real soon, disney will drop them all together, but right now they have only lost exclusivity. I own an HD player and can say it is awesome to watch movies on, weather HD or regular DVD. I don't see a reason to spend $1000 on something that can't do what sony claimed, where as HD players are catching on in homes and the 360 is pushing the format even more. Blu-ray is a joke. Hopefully Disney will make a decision soon and make HD-DVD's and Blu-ray so we can all enjoy high def classics.

What a liar. Need people to report this so it gets removed. Those HD DVD fanboys will do anything to convince people of anything.

He has been reported!!!!

And I replied to him...

Quote:
Derek, do you have a link for that? Of course you don't what you just typed is an outright lie. Disney has not announced any such thing about releasing movies on HD DVD. If you are a fan of HD DVD be a fan, don't make something up just to make yourself feel good.

Hd dvd fanatics run wild at amazon.com.
I think that many of them realize that the blu tidal wave is approaching. They really should just run for the hills instead.

Real estate brokers in the hills would love it too, as they would be able to sell their problematic lots without having to worry about the buyers researching their purchase.

If you're going to start a rumor, at least start a believable one. Gosh. People these days.

Even though it is a year old, it is still right there for people to see. Most people will not check the date. I only noticed the date of Nov 28th and not the year, so I am sure many people will still see this and think oh, Disney is going to start releasing their films on HD DVD. I don't think it matters how old it is.
But it looks like enough people reported it so it has been hidden...

I've been reporting blatant Blu-ray bashing on Amazon, especially the slamming of titles by HD DVD zealots.

Is Amazon moderating that place or are they allowing all this FUD to be posted.
