Default Just got the replacement Black Pearl BD from Disney

http://thedigitalbits.com/#mytwocents

Apparently Disney has finally corrected the framing issue on POTC:COTBP and will "soon" be issuing replacements. Good deal.

That's good news about the replacement discs. I've avoided watching the film since I heard of the framing issue so I wouldn't get flaming mad when I watched.

Kudos to Disney. I'll be getting COTBP as soon as I know I'm getting the corrected version.

It's not THAT noticeable. If you know exactly where to look you'll see it, but I wouldn't let it put me off of watching the movie.

It's noticeable enough for me to do a happy dance for the news of impending replacement discs.

Yeah, it was pretty obvious during some of the fighting scenes.

True true. I still want one, even if it's just on principle. Glad to see Disney stepping up.

So how does this work, You pay for shipping of the old disc to them, and they ship you the new revision disc of no shipping cost?

All of the other disc replacements I've done, you call them, they send you the new one with a pre-addressed/stamped envelope and you send your old one back.

Too bad about ID4 as I have already dispatched my standard version. As long as they are remasterimg thats o.k. Don't want a flawed copy.

I watched it twice before the framing issue came up and never noticed, but I read up on it so I know where it is. I'm the type of person where it will stick indelibly to my brain if I watch it now. If I do I'll be viewing the replacement disc and my suspension of disbelief/immersion in the film will be broken by my mind telling me "hey that's the part they botched & fixed". It's not like I don't have tons of other BDs to watch in the meantime .

It doesnt get much easier than that! Kudos Disney for listening to the consumers. Ill bet if it were a DUD disc, Toshiba would retort, "just boil it! That fixes everything!"

I'm pickin' up what you're puttin' down. I think about it every time I watch it too. But at the same time, when I get the replacement, I'll always think "This is the part that WAS screwed up." Disney has ruined my enjoyment of this movie forever!!!!

Excellent news to know that we can get a replacement on this.
I will eagerly await the announcement when we can call.
And also, when we can officially call, please make a new thread with a new title, cause threads like this one will be skipped or missed, but a new thread with a new title will be seen.
Actually I think this deserves to be put in the news articles.
