Default The Conjuring 3

Quote:
“People are people so why should it be/that Valak gets Bill Wilkins to possess me?“*

The recent success of The Conjuring 2 means that talks for a third movie are inevitable. When a movie does well at the box office, people want to keep that money train rolling, so a new entry is as good a way to ensure that as any. Therefore, it’s no surprise at all that James Wan is already getting inundated with questions about The Conjuring 3, even while the second film is still in theaters.

Talking with IGN, Wan states, “I do have something specific but I’m not going to say it. But I will say this – I do think Conjuring 1 and 2 are both set in the 70s, I think Conjuring 3 has got to be set in the 80s.” He continues by saying that the Warren case files allow for a lot of different scripts. “They do have a lot of stories so I think, organically, if we’re lucky enough to tell future chapters, there’s a lot of stuff we could be pulling from.”

In fact, Wan tells CinemaBlend that, “…between the writers and the studio, I think they have a short list of their favorite, like basically the top 20 or 30 of the Warren’s favorite cases.”

As for Wan’s own visions, he wants something a bit more exciting and even a bit more “hairy”. “Maybe we can go and do it like a classic American Werewolf in London style. That would be awesome! The Warrens set against the backdrop of The Hound of Baskerville.”

No matter what, I fully trust Wan in whatever story he wants to bring to the screen. He hasn’t done me wrong yet and Trace just wrote about how important Wan is as a director. If he wants to tell the story of Ed and Lorraine Warren fighting off a werewolf, I’ll be there opening night!
