Default Impressed with Simpsons AQ and PQ

For a cartoon animated into movie, the PQ and AQ was amazing. I loved the fox intro, it sounded great. Great demo intro for the AQ for bluray.

I loved the PQ as well, sharp and great transfer. What everyone think?

couldn't agree with you more...fox has always been notoriously on top of AQ for their blu-rays...but when you think about it...why is it that almost all of the animations available on BD have the top-rated transfers?...because they are animations!...they've got to be much more easier to work with than regular films...

I have to agree with you.

This was a blind buy since I didn't see it at the theater (just the trailers), but this movie is really funny! There are several good laughs throughout.

The picture is so colorful and sharp that it can even be distracting on a first viewing.

One more thing -- this is selling like hotcakes over at BestBuy. The Simpsons shelf was almost picked clean!

I loved how the movie started without the aspect ratio shown as box. Then when the movie started it expanded to the respected ratio on the box after it said, "SIMPSONS on the BIG SCREEN". When i first saw it, i was like great I need to stretch it using theater wide, but the whole movie is not in a small box. I thought that was cool. It was a big screen alright 65 inches of blu madness

I agree that Fox did a great job on the Simpsons movie. I did not see this in the theater, but waited anxiuosly for the Blu-Ray. Great PQ and AQ.

There are many funny parts in the movie, but I love my boy Ralphie. When he did the 20th Century Fox theme in the very beginning, I knew I was in for a good time.

I could easily see this becoming a franchise type of movie for Fox ala X-Men or Die Hard.

Keep up the good work Fox.

Yeah it was really funny. They went the route of "we can't do this on tv" but didn't push it too far and use it as a crutch.

PQ was amazing. Audio was amazing as well. Just listening to the core track was pretty good, and I can only imagine what it will be like once the PS3 can decode DTSMA.

As a movie, it's 4.5/5. Very funny, but I'm sure I've missed things because of not watching the show.

I agree also about the PQ and AQ. I wish the Futurama film that they show (Trailer) at the start was also out on Blu as well. I had to get the basic dvd of that one.

It's not bad for a MPEG 2 release. Now I only wish the actual show itself would switch to HD because I would buy them in a flash. They showed the Futurama movie trailer at the beginning in HD and it looked superb as well.
