Depends what is meant by winning. I think it is reasonable to claim that BD has already won. If winning means no more HD-DVDs released and no more players available, then I don't think that will happen in 2008.

To me "winning" the format war is when Blu-ray has ever major studio. And they are almost there...

It's a mass that approximates spheroid (flattened sphere)
