Every disc release of each Bond film is the exact same regardless of it being individual or in bundles; the only difference will most likely be audio or subtitle options depending on where you get individual titles or bundles from. The decision is up to you. If you want all of them; The James Bond Collection has all of 'em thus far. If you want to go slowly through I'd recommend the actor collections. If you're one of those that want to have them individually shown then get the individual collections. Bare in mind that only the '15 releases (the ones with the white border) is the only set with a consistent spine if that matters to you for displaying.

I think the one exception to that is CASINO ROYALE (Craig version). The Sony "Collector's Edition" has a few exclusive extras that aren't on the MGM releases. Also, the 2012 UK BD has the full uncut version of the film (US releases are still the theatrical PG-13 version).

As the discs are pretty much all the same I would suggest getting the box set in the white box, it has them all, it can be found cheap and takes up very little shelf space. The only drawback of course is that when Bond 25 eventually comes out you’ll have to buy that and it might violate your rule about packaging being stylized differently, plus it doesn’t include the two “unofficial” films.

They’ll probably discontinue all these and re-release them when the new one comes out, and maybe even have UHD releases too.

![]() ![]() ![]() Never Say Never Again is a remake of Thunderball from an entirely different film company. It has never been included in James Bond collections or canon. Somehow they gor Sean Connery to came back for it after being out of the role for about 20 years. Casino Royale was more of a spoof than an actual Bond film. |

Bond 50 is the best for me. It also beats the OCD "how can it be complete when they're making more?" problem by being a celebration of just the first 50 years. So it's complete for that era wheras the other collections would be obsolete sooner or later.

Bond 50 has been replaced by this
![]() The one with the black slipbox has the extra bonus disc with the exclusive documentary. ![]() Just get one or the other depending on whether or not you want the documentary. |

Oh and here's a post I did a couple years ago talking about the various sets because of James Bond is one of the most guilty of re-re-re-releasing the exact same set over and over.

I guess there's no collection that only has the pre-Craig movies? I still have the four "Ultimate Edition" DVD box sets of the first 20 films and would like to get them on Blu-ray eventually but my brother already has the Craig movies on Blu-ray. So I guess the only way to get the original films on their own would be to either buy them individually or go for the "007" actor collections?

Threads like this make me super glad I'm not so anal!
![]() Like others I would suggest the newest black or white box sets, but when the next one comes out it won't match. Of course they're going to make Bond movies until the sun explodes, so they're NEVER going to all match, unless you re-buy them all every time a new movie comes out. It's just something you have to accept. |
