I thought it was still a rumor that Target had dropped HD-DVD?

I am a BJ's Wholesale Club member, and I know that they have never had HD-DVD in my local store, only Blu-ray.

Grants does huge volumes...

When I bought a new house back in 94 when I lived there, I bought all my appliances there.

I live in California, but man their prices were so much lower.

Way to go Grants...

But it still stells HD-DVD software, so it is a bit misleading for the article to say Target is Blu-ray exclusive. The article (from what I read) is talking about all aspects, not just hardware.

I'm pretty sure that K-Mart came out and said that they were not HD-DVD exclusive.

I still remember seeing the news when HMV announced they were stopping selling VHS tapes in their stores, this was back when it was clear that DVD was the future, but not EVERYONE had made the switch quite yet.

It's not the same thing I know, cause there was no war... but I was happy cause I was an early adopter.

I can't wait till the stores here stop HDUD, that'll be a fun memory to file away next to the VHS thing.

They did deny those reports the day after Microsoft made them.

My Local K-Mart has never carried HD-DVD Hardware or software, but they do carry blu-ray.

If the rumors are true and I have no idea if they are that the bda gave 500 million to Warner to go exclusive, don't you think they can persuaded BB and CC to go blu-ray exclusive with 50 million a piece?

I guarantee you BB and CC will not make 50 million from hd dvd sales this year. Especially now, they could get them to go exclusive for a lot less I am sure. Then again they probably don't have to since we can't give them away.

Thats why its so bogus about the 500 mil warner offer in the first place. You cant exactly hide 500 mil.

But yeah, cant wait until rest of these big chain stores stop ordering HDDVD.

You would think this kind of news would get Paraversal to make a decision quicker to start producing Blu-Ray titles since in a few months they may not have anywhere to even sell their HDDVD titles.
