not clarified in the article. I assume Japan would get it first. This game will sell a ton of consoles over there.

Its a no brainer that Japan will get it first. It could take months to get it over here though.

Did it say when in 08? If its late in the year then its safe to assume that we wont get it until 2009, unless they do the extraordinary step of having a worldwide release.

Still good news for Japan though. This will move an incredible amount of consoles.

They said both would recieve it in 2008.

Didn't expect this game to be in the US this year. Even if it is completed this year it will be released in Japan first.

Dude... that sucks. I was so hoping to get this this year! At least in time for the holidays if not sooner. Man it takes so long to make one of these games!
I sure hope that it comes to the US shortly after Japan (or the same time?) but now I have no clue what is up with it.
Can't Square Enix just tell us how well it is going and when they actually expect this to be out and where? GAH I Bought my PS3 not just for Blu-ray, but specifically for this game! Now I have to wait another year?

*sigh*

I expect, with all the roadblocks they are hitting with the white-engine development, that this game will be released near end of 2008 in Japan. Taking that into consideration, localization will take almost half a year so maybe 1Q or 2Q release in the United States in 2009 is my guess.

I thought they said that Devil May Cry's simultaneaous worldwide release was going to be there strategy going forward?

EDIT: My bad. I think that is actually MGS4's strategy.

It'll be a huge seller in both US and Japan. This title is needed for the 4th qtr and would be a great title with a new price point on the PS3 of $299.
