Default speaker wire question

i am getting the onkyo ht-sp908 and i won't be able to drill holes all over my room to hide the speakers. i have stuff along the walls so if i run it along the wall it should be some what hidden. what i am wondering is if there is any thing that can keep it in place, like some type of tape to run it under along the base of the wall and along molding or something. i want the wire to be held down so it isn't visible. is there any good product that hides wires?

I run all my speaker wire along the base of the wall...its not really noticeable. Unless you have to cross a doorway, in which case I throw a rug down.

If your boarders are white, just get white speaker wire...I dont think you'll even notice, and they dont move around at all so no tape needed.

If the room is carpet you can usually tuck the cable underneath the baseboards. Just use a flat head screwdriver to shove it in there.

ok thanks a lot... next question haha.... what do you think is better the ht-sp908, or the onkyo 605 by itself and some stand alone speakers like the Polk Audio RM6750 5.1 speaker set (or any other around that price). Keep in mind 7.1 is not that big of a thing to me right now. i just want to get the reciever and i can upgrade to 7.1 when more companies take advantage of it on blu-rays.

are there any speakers that you can suggest?... if i can keep my total to like 650-700 i can get this sooner rather than later which i want because i am dying to hear hi-def audio. looking at amazon reviews that polk set seems pretty good.

Go to the electrical department of Home Depot. They have plenty of stuff for runnning wires across walls or ceilings. They also have cheap generic 12 gauge speaker wires.
