In high school, Chris Brander (Ryan Reynolds) was a shy, overweight teen with a crush on the beautiful Jennifer Palamino (Amy Smart). Unfortunately, Jamie thought of the good-natured Chris as “just a friend”. Fast forward ten years, Chris is a suave, fit and successful music executive visiting home and looking for a little payback. Love has other plans for him, though, as he attempts to woo Jamie once again, while all the while trying to distract the dizzy pop-diva client (Anna Faris) he has in tow and a rival suitor (Chris Klein). Soon enough, Chris finds that romancing Jamie hasn’t gotten any easier in this outrageous comedy of errors!

As much as I love Just Friends I’m not touching it unless it’s a new master. I picked up the digital HD years ago for $5 and never bothered importing the Blu Ray because I’d heard the transfer is underwhelming.

I always thought Warner archive did fresh scans. If it’s not an OCN, I would expect an interpositive at least. I’m excited, my German Blu-ray looks crappy. I’m sure it’ll look better than that.

Oh wow, I was kinda expecting Shout to release this title. Glad to see it finally getting a BD release regardless!

Fyi, the only North American Blu-Ray release that was previously released was a Canadian exclusive release from Alliance (back when they used to distributed New Line Cinema's library in Canada).

Now if Warner Archive could release Unaccompanied Minors (an underrated Christmas movie that was only released on DVD) on Blu-Ray ASAP!

My brother found the Canadian release in a pawn shop in Texas for $1 about 2 years ago, I've had no such luck. I guess I'll be buying this day one. I'll borrow his disc to watch this Christmas. Strange timing, for sure.

I imported the Canadian Blu-ray disc about 10 years ago. I usually watch this every other holiday season. The disc is perfectly serviceable. I’m not seeing in the info why Warner is giving me a reason to double dip for this release. We love this movie in our home regardless. And ya, Amy Smart is pure eye candy here.

Would be pretty disappointing coming from Warner Archive if it's not a new master. I'd expect at least a new 2K scan from the IP.

So nostalgic, no idea if it holds up, but saw this with peoples back then. Amy Smart is a goddess and this was before RR turned into a parody of himself. Also Christopher Marquette is super underrated.

I'm in for this one too. It's not good by any means, but it's funny in that mid-00s way and Amy Smart is one of the most beautiful women of all time. Hopefully it'll drop to $10-12 after a couple of months.

Saw this one for the first time maybe a year or two ago and enjoyed it. Ryan Reynolds is pretty much only really now remembered for Deadpool and his phone service, but he's obviously had some fun other fun roles as well. It's pretty wild how like a quarter of his IMDB resume is compromised of just bits he's done in character as Deadpool. He actually hasn't been the lead role in many movies of his career.
