Default Remote/PS3 combo

I'm looking for a remote for my PS3/TV/A-35/new receiver (not sure which one yet)

Anyone try to control the PS3 with wireless home network connection through a wireless remote?? I'm not too computer savvy..... but figure I'll just get my local shop to set it up if I go this route.

thanks,

thanks,
Won't work.
PS3 uses Bluetooth, receivers use IR or RF.
Sony makes a good PS3 remote you can buy on the internet for about $20. We have one for watching Blue-ray movies on the PS3 when our Samsuck 1200 won't play them.

The remote I'm looking at says it's Wi-Fi, and can control other Wi-Fi devices over a home-network, so I'm guessing it operates it via internet (sorry for the lack of technical know-how) So "no" I don't think it simply won't work, as it seems it works on the same concept of blue tooth.... but I want to confirm that it'll work, and I'm not just getting confused by all of their tech-eze they're using on me! I called my local shop, and when I go there today, they're gonna try to bring one in from another store, but they aren't sure if it will work either..............

here's the link to the remote.... someone who can decifer this, let me know.

I hope it will control the PS3, and I need a new remote regardless.......

from the reviews on this item you can use the usb infared eye for other remotes so im thinking you could buy this and program the fancy remote to it

I think I'd still have to keep that thing in the USB port to set to IR though......arrgggg..... that's what I'm trying to avoid. I'll just check it out when the shop gets it I guess, unless someone already has a Wi-Fi remote, and has tried this.

I think with the wifi remote you would have to put the ps3 in adhoc mode vs infrastructure which would then bounce you off your home network.
