Default the orange box, worth it or not?

Im looking for a new game to buy,and i was thinking about getting this game. but then i rememberd the review's and people saying it not as good as the 360 version, and the framerate is horrible. can someone who has the game tell me if its still a good game, and how bad exactly is the framerate problem? im getting bored of playing call of duty4, and need a new gaming fix.

Yes, worth it! The only game I like is Portal.

The framerate problems are really only in Episode 2 of Half Life 2. The rest of it is fine. Definitely worth it.

I have the Orange Box and it's a fantastic value for your money and the framerate issues aren't as horrible as some would say

interesting. I would have bought the game but was hesitant because of the bad port. Plus there are so many games coming out this year. I think i'm gonna save my money.

Question The Orange Box: Any Ideas?

I'm planning to get The Orange Box this Friday, and I've been hearing about its poor reception compared to its 360 and PC counterparts. Nevertheless, my friend has the game, and strongly recommends me to buy it.

So, it's been about 2 years since it's release, and since I found a new one at my local GameStop for $20, I want to hear from you guys whether I should buy this or not. Should I?

Portal alone is worth $20. You won't find many online players for Team Fortress 2, but there may be a few games around. Half Life 2 is pretty good as well.

I've got the demo at my PC; it's pretty good as far as I could tell, but I don't know if Portal is good, because I've heard it's really hard.

There are some quite challenging puzzles, but I ran through it my first time in under 6 hours. You just have to think a lot.

I played thru all of them and, know I'm in the minority but Half Life was just ok. The additional chapters were better. Portal alone is worth it and, Team Fortress 2 was fun for a couple of days but, I didn't find the need to continue playing as there really wasn't much to it.

Just finished Episode 2. Fantastic stuff! I had no idea the episodes were part of a trilogy, or that the third was due within the year. I figured everything on The Orange Box was all there was to HL2. Episode 3 really gives me something to look forward to. Can't wait to see Alex in next-gen!!

Trying to complete Episode 2; I gotta tell ya, I'm still having good times with the Half-Life 2 series! Episode 2's becoming my favorite so far, but nothing beats the original.

Now, where's that patch from EA? I need trophies, rumble, and a whole lotta fixing on this game. Otherwise.....

I just finished playing Portal (I won HL2 like 2 years ago but didn't get around to playing this one til now) - what a great game!

It totally kept me entertained and the puzzles while challenging never became frustratingly difficult.

I see there was a demo on Source called 'Portal: Who wants a slice?' or something similar. Does anyone know if a sequel is in the works???

Portal 2 was confirmed but its still very early on.

Its supposed to be pretty different. Chell (your character) is not involved, nor Glados from what was said.

But it says it's a Demo - which implies it's not a finished product and that a full release is in the works - hence my original question.

i personally dont think its worth buying. since, EA Canada ported it. and, it was a terrible port.
