Default Toy Story vs Shrek Showdown!

Okay so I have recently realized that both Toy Story 3 and Shrek Goes 4th are supposed to come out in the summer of 2010. Which one do you think will do better? I read somewhere that Shrek has always outdone the Pixar releases the same year. But without Toy Story we wouldn't have Shrek. I personally think Toy Story 3 will make history in the box office.

Maybe, but I'm not going to vote. I personally think that Toy Story 3 will be the higher quality of the two. Actually, that's almost a guarantee.

I love Shrek but the third one let down nearly everyone. I don't know how much they can milk it anymore. It's become what it came to critique and parody.

I thought very little of Shrek the first time I saw it. I guess my expectations had been too high.

But I watched it again and my opinion rose enough to buy it.

Now I love Shrek!!

Maybe it is worth giving Shrek another look.

Thing is, sequels are tricky business. The safe money would be on Pixar. Shrek, I think, hit its peak with the first film and it has been nothing but diminishing returns from there. From where I sit, Shrek, Road to El Dorado, and Madagascar have been the only notable works to come out of DreamWorks Animation since the whole company was founded. Pixar's glory years can't last forever, but there is nothing to indicate those years are fading. It took World War II to knock the floor out of Disney in the 30's and early 40's. I think it's going to take World War III to do the same with Pixar.

but kids love shrek thats y its one of the biggest grossing franchises around $700 mil worldwide for 3rd i think it was so i dont know but i would luv it if they stop making shreks
Hope toy story smashes shrek and the shrek makers get a hint from that

TOY STORY 3 is shaping up to complete the best animated trilogy in the history of cinema...

Shrek Goes Fourth - I can only hope they do it right, otherwise it's another mediocre animated feature film from Dreamworks again...

Exactly how many theatrically-released animated trilogies are there in the history of cinema?

They will both do well, but the real question is which one you care about the most. I vote Toy Story.

I love Shrek but the third installment left much to be desired. That's why I say hands down Toy Story 3 will be better.

That was an easy poll. Shrek has not been good since Shrek 1. Toy Story 3 is going to beat Shrek 3 in every way, shape, and form. Do not underestimate the folks at Pixar.

This is bit uneven. Toy Story 3 obliterates Shrek.
