Default Copy files from media server after new update?

Has anyone else noticed that you can now copy your songs from your PC media server to the PS3? This option was greyed out for me before the latest update. This is awesome!

This has always worked for me ever since I set up my wireless - many, many months ago.

It has always worked for me, connecting to a PC media server via TVersity since about a year ago.

Oh.... wait.... nm I'm retarded.

I previously must've only tried copying songs while I had a song playing.

Haha, silly me.

The thing I really want to see though is the ability to build playlists from songs off of a media server so I can just keep adding songs to the current playlist off the media server without having to download them all to the PS3 or add songs to the playlist on my PC.

I build playlists on my computer and then select my "Playlist" folder - and just play those. I rarely listen to an entire CD from a group - usually just a mix of their CDs from the group.

I love mix CDs and a playlist is a must for me. I don't have a big enough hard-drive in my PS3 so this will have to work.

I think a hard-drive upgrade is definitely in my future.

Yeah, managing the playlist on the comp is the only option at the moment, but it'd be really nice to have a "current playlist" on the ps3 to which I could add songs on the fly from the ps3 off of my media server.

It's just one of those situational type things.... you have some people over, you put on a playlist, and one of em says "put so-and-so on" and all you really want to do is use the ps3 remote to select songs by "so-and-so" and add them to the playlist currently going.

Not a back-breaker, but it'd be really nice.
