Can I use my detachable speaker that came with my 46" Sharp TV as the center speaker?

Idea is to splice both negative wires together, and both positive wires together and run them to a single center speaker connection on the reciever.

Is that just crazy and dumb, or a creative solution to buying a real center speaker?

your receiver may not "like it". even still, you would want to match your center speaker with your front left and right so that the sound and especially the voices will match if the action is going from side to side. otherwise it may not sound right.
