May not be news to some of us, but I just came across an interesting article about why we go crazy over technology... I won't post the whole article here, but follow the link for an interesting read.

Later experiments done on humans confirmed that people will neglect almost everything—their personal hygiene, their family commitments—in order to keep getting that buzz.

Seems that our obsessions can be linked to a part of the brain that releases dopamine, and creates an effect similar to drug use. Someone pass the blu...

Maybe with this discovery, we can diagnose ourselves with a mental disorder. That way, we can blame all of our spending on it.

I'm not trying to say that we're crazy for believing in blu-ray (and I understand the concept of grain so that doesn't bother me), just pointing out a scientific finding that suggests our tech-craze can become our #1 priority because of the stimulation we get by "seeking" the latest and greatest.
