Anybody seen any previews for this? Looks like it has the potential to be pretty awesome, but also has the chance to be a huge let down. Thoughts?

looks really good. I plan on seeing it.

BUT I did just see a french film recently that sounded eerily familliar called 'THEM'...

Just got this on DVD from Netflix and it was really creepy, very tense and supposedly based on a true story.

I thought 'the strangers' was a direct remake of the film 'they' but apparently the script was written before the script from 'them' was.

Also the "based on a true story" tagline, like most movies that say that is REALLY quite an embellishment. Still a good tension filled movie is always welcome wether its baesd on any truth or not in my book.

This looks exactly like vacancy, only instead of murderous motel owners, theyre monsters.

This movie looks like what I expect those people to look like without masks..... HORRIBLE.

From the trailer I saw in theatres, it seems like it seems much more creepier than vacancy, although along the same lines. Also, I love when they use a sort of freeze shot in movies (such as a devil's rejects per say)...I'm going to go in with my expectations low so that way I won't be disappointed..

i tell you this movie creeps the wife and I out big time, just from the trailers we saw and i saw another one today

very creepy and looks like it will be tense, cant wait to see it.

that one looks, pretty damn scary to me. not many do, these days. vacancy was pretty freaky too. i'll watch strangers for sure.
