Whenever I see something I want, my solution is to 1-click order everything.
What I run into problems with, of course, is when I order something in April say for a June release, and then something is set up on the calendar that I want later for the same day (giving me two separate orders for items releasing on the same day). My question is (for those with more amazon experience with me) does Amazon automatically combine those on the day they ship? I'm guessing not because they're a business and want money (no matter how good their customer service is) or do I just need to cancel them and reorder them? Would an email to them suffice? I tried their "combine orders" option on my order summary page, but it never seems to work for whatever reason... Thanks! |

I do the same (prime member, 1 click ship) and they haven't combined anything yet. I called and tried to get them to do so once, but they wouldn't because it was at another processing level.
For example, this morning I bought a Harmony remote from them and about an hour ago I got a cheap DVD player for the home gym. Both orders were 'processing' within minutes, so combining them is not going to happen. Of course, I did 1 day for the remote and 2 day for the player, so combinging them would have meant more money to them but the option is gone pretty much right away. If you're a prime member I don't think it will hurt you, but if you're not the shipping charges will build up quick. When you check the status of your orders, you'll see the option to combine them if you still are able. It will be a button that says "combine orders". ~Camper |

It's all good, though. I'll just keep cancelling and re-ordering them. The only ones I've been leery of doing that with are the Paramounts with all these dates being pushed back; I don't want to lose my place in line, or the price. ![]() |

I had to turn one-click ordering off a couple of years ago. They sometimes have items you have to put in your shopping cart to see the discounted price. I looked at the price of a $2000 projection television. I proceeded then to order a $7.00 book, but both items ended up ordered. Even though I immediately attempted to cancel the order, online, by phone and by email, by the time I made contact, it had processed, and I ended up having to refuse delivery at my home and contest the charge on my VISA.

It's primarily Paramount, too. ![]() |
