Amazon.com intl shipping sucks balls.

Just a warning to those Euro's out there that are anticipating from buying from Amazon.com. It will take between 10-25 days on expedited shipping and up to 5 weeks if using the economy option. I have not used the most expensive option yet.

I find it hard to read on these forums that our USA colleagues that import from us are getting 5-6 day turnarounds on all region B titles (albeit at slightly more expensive prices). If amazon.co.uk can give 5-6 day turnarounds, why can't amazon.com? I always wonder if there are planes in the sky going 5mph.

I will probably not buy too many single orders from there. I recommend you only buy catalog titles and bundle up as many as possible.

The only saving grace for Amazon at this time is their unbelievable "no questions asked" policy when you query them on packages not received after the expected receiving date. The first time I queried a package lost they sent a replacement package immediately, where upon I received the same order twice a week later . I also had the option of an immediate refund. The abuse this policy must be getting must be through the roof, especially as their is absolutely no tracking what so ever.

Sounds strange. None of of my amazon.com orders have taken more than 14 day s for delivery to Japan.

It takes about 14 days to get stuff to Malaysia with Amazon. Once my package was lost and I waited almost two weeks after it was supposed to arrive, effectively waited one month, and filed a complaint. Within two weeks, I received the new package.

Not only that, the package was a BD which about a couple of days after I received it, had gone down in price. So I asked for a credit for the difference and got it.
