Default Indy 5, what do you want?

there is a pretty good chance we are going to see at least one more indiana jones film. what are some ideas that the film should be based on?

i think it would be cool if indy went after atlantis. i think they need to keep the theme closer to western audiences and themes, as the 2 movies that wern't based on popular western myths and beliefs wern't received well.

keep communisits as the enemies, though you could make it the cubans or something like it this go around.

keep marion to a minimum. don't have her go on the adventure at all. maybe just in the beginning and the end she is in the film.

other ideas?

Don't include aliens...I'd start right there.

Shia LeBouf whipped for even thinking about touching Daddy's hat

Nathan FIllion as Indy's protege who has to borrow stuff out of Indy's closet for his own rousing adventure. There is no one that can take a beating like Nathan Fillion. He's right up there with Ford back in the 80s.

Script by Joss Whedon, who has proven time and again he's capable of writing like Lawrence Kasdan. More Marion and Indy fighting which is good when the writing is good.

Some Heinlein Rocketship Galileo style Nazis in hiding plot. Or at least cartoonish commies.

Hmm... What do I want?

ooh ooh I know! For it not to happen!, I mean at all.

The first hour of Indy 4 is great but the last hour was utter tripe.

Aliens for god's sake. No sorry "Inter-Dimensional Beings to be precise"... That was without a doubt the worst line of the movie. Sad that it came from the mouth of the great John Hurt.

I was real dissapointed with Indy 4 and I just can't forgive Spielberg and Lucas. I feel like a piece of my childhood died

But that's just my two cents!

Indeed. No Aliens. I would'nt mind using Atlantis for the plot, and yes keep Marion to a minimum, please. Also would love for them to bring back Sallah in this one.

i thought about that and like that idea about seeking out the nazis in hiding, however i can't figure out away to tie that to archeology, which is a must.

They actually had a pretty cool Indiana Jones PC game based on Atlantis a long time ago ( early 90s, late 80s ) I believe.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis was the name of the game. So there were absolutely no " Atlanteans "..aliens or supernatural beings involved...it was just about finding Atlantis itself. Which would be cool to see on film.

They are now in the 50s I believe for Mutt Williams if he takes over Indy's spot as his son. So it has to center around that time period somehow...so yeah..Russians would be the bad guys again. Perhaps finding a very powerful Atlantis " power source " that could be used as a weapon.
Or Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb

Also, possible actors to play the role/s of villian/s in this movie could be Jason Issacs, Alan Rickman, or Kevin Costner. I'd also consider Ed Harris too, but he's already been used in National Treasure 2........

you thought that was the worst line?

i thought this one was worse:

"Are they going to space?"

"No, they are going to the space between spaces."

I'm glad you said this, I was thinking the same thing before 4 came out. I would have bought Indy in Atlantis before Indy and Aliens. Though if they do this for 5, I want Indy to be the main star. Shia can keep the backseat until Indy 6 .

A better script, and more action for Indy. Story wise, I'd prefer something based on something "real," like the others. I think Kingdom of the Crystal Skull could have been fantastic with better writing and not as many sidekicks. Indy didn't have much to do in the last parts of the movie, and John Hurt served simply as a way to work around a creative story. "We'll just have him know everything and everybody will follow him." Please.

Heaven forbid.....I for one don't like the idea of Shia stepping into the shoes of Indiana Jones or for that matter Indiana Jones Jr. They should just close it down with a 5th one. That's it.

I thought Shia's charater was alright. Up until he was swinging like a monkey and sword fighting. Liked it when he was still acting like a greaser

theres nothing to explain, its just horrible dialogue. i havn't cringed like that since: "Only my new powers can save you, Padme."

and wow! fancy that, both were George Lucas creations.
