Die Hard 2: Die Harder Replacement Disk - Blu-ray Forum

Well, I just spoke with a Fox representative just a few moments ago and was told that they have finally received newly remastered disc which will correct all of the problems we've (at least me but assume others have faced similar problems) been experiencing with DTS-HD MA for this movie. According to him, these will be sent out to customers who have notified them that they've experience a problem and have registered their name, address and telephone number with Fox within the next few days (fingers crossed)! Their number, if you want to receive a replacement is: 1-888-223-2369.

I got my Die Hard 2 replacement disk today. Interestingly, it is not just the disc, but the case too just as if you had bought the single movie.

I won't be able to test it today though.

I forget what the issue was, was it no sound? My copy appears to be okay unless the problem was something less noticable.

Yes! No sound at all if you select DolbyTrue HD.

So has the sound issue ever been fixed? Looks like the other editions after the original are all the same discs just repackaged.

I have had the Nakatomi Plaza Edition since it came out but have yet to open it. Is there an issue with the disc included in this set?

I was reading up on this sites Die Hard BD reviews, and came across this thread. Surprised to see there was a problem with the Die Hard 2 BD, I popped mine in only to find that it has no issues with its DTS-MA 5.1 soundtrack. It sounds great.

My disc is from 2013 so whatever issue there was before that year, must have been fixed. Or it was an issue only with the US BD. Mine is a Nordic one.

Is this even a problem anymore? Was it simple early BD days compatibility issues? I just watched this a week or so ago and had no issue.
