Default Best Buy and Onkyo

Why can't I buy an Onkyo from Best Buy? They don't sell them, that's why. Does anybody know why that is?

Yes, because Best Buy doesn't carry Onkyo.

i too have wondered. and i think the reason is on onkyo's end. i constantly see stuff saying "onkyo certified dealer" so i'm guessing they pick who they want to sell their product

I was just thinking how much it sucks that I can't buy Classe, Krell, Rotel, Technics, Volkswagen, John Deere, Canondale, coke products, or gasoline at my local Best-Buy..... man... wouldn't life be easier....

I'm calling Best Buy Corporate offices because I think it's insane that I can't buy Kenmore appliances at my local Best Buy.

the companies have contracts with the retailer. alpine used to be with CC but when the contract was up, they went to best buy. the same thing with harmon kardon. onkyo is at cc and other retailers. just buy it online, and that way you dont have to deal with salespeople.

That was my point though(even though I didn't say this part). I wanted to use my Best Buy credit card to buy it online. I probably will go with a Yamaha instead, though.

Just wait awhile. Soon you will be able to get everything you need at Walmart. I was thinking about stuff they don't have yet and a couple of things are Lumber, automobiles, farm equipment. Give em time and they will probably do this. They are starting to carry much more electronics then ever. Some Walmarts have banks and doctors offices. One Walmart to rule them all.
And on that note.....
I friggin hate Walmart. I hate Circuit City and I hate best Buy. Bunch of thieves. I'll keep doing what I always do, research an item then buy it online. That's pretty much where the best deals are anyway.

Because not everyone can afford $1000-$2000 Pioneer Elite or Denon equipment (I know I can't). Onkyo isn't the best, but it is a relatively inexpensive way to get into the HD market.

Best Buy has some very nice Yamaha and Harman Kardon options at relatively low prices.

+1..... My Onkyo works perfectly for my needs. And I sure as he11 don't have $1000 to spend on a receiver.
