Default Stuck pixels.

Hey guys I recently had to send my TV back as it had 2 stuck pixels, I was fully refunded and will purchase the TV again once its back in stock.

Incase your wondering the TV was the Sony Bravia 32" KDL-W4000U.

So the point im trying to make is that im worried that when I get my TV back that it will have stuck pixels and Ill have to go through the same process again.

Is the percentage high for LCD's to get stuck pixels? I sent the TV back as I searched for stuck pixels on this forum and the responses said to send the TV back.

My understanding of this issue is that there is always a small amount of pixels that die if that's what you mean by "stuck". And I thought the guarantee applied only past a certain amount of dead pixels like 5 or something. So if they freely exchange your TV for just 2 dead Pixels you have a good deal methinks.

I had this problem once. Brand new TV had a stuck pixel. It was green, stuck pixels are usually very bright colors and are hard to near impossible to get rid of. There are a few methods i tried none worked, but i got full refund as well. There are hot pixels which are red i beleive and dead pixels which are black. hot and Dead are impossible to fix. I have only seen a stuck pixel once, and they are pretty rare so i wouuld not be worried at all.

Well, we have 4 LCD TV's in the house and 2 LCD computer screens. Never had a problem with stuck pixels. However, when I first took a look at a 50" 720p $25,000 pioneer plasma back in 1998 or 99, the set on the display wall had 5 that did not work. They promised a new set only if it had six or more. It's impressive what $25,000 could get you back then.
