Dali Ikon 6 Front L/R with ikon vokal 2

hi people, I intend to purchase these speakers, are they good for movie? I know certain speakers not suitable for movies, only for music. thanks...

90% of speakers that are good for music are more than good for movies.

I have read nothing but good things about Dali speakers.

Can you demo them for movies?

Have you auditioned the Ikon series??? If so and you really liked them then why not go for it. Is there anything else you are comparing them to or considering???

If you have a largish room or can accommodate them maybe look into the Ikon 8's. In any case the 6 or 8 will do a great job for home theater application. I am a fan of Dali speakers and have only heard a few people comment negatively about the Ikon series but there will always be people who do so. The thing that matters is how you feel about them. Dali makes great speakers and there are many happy owners.

No, I have not auditioned them yet, Ikon 8 is too damn x for me, cannot afford. I will be placing my speakers in the living hall not in a room. Not many people talk about Dali speakers in the forums. All I know is that Dali speakers have very high ratings/reviews in the magazine. I m considering Tannoy speakers as well.

I have a Dali Helicon series five channel setup that I pieced together. I am extremely happy with it to say the least.

Would you mind sharing your budget and are you willing to piece together a speaker setup???

I will be hooking up dali ikon 6 with onkyo 606, hope this amp is enough to drive them. I will be getting just the front L/R n the ikon vokal 2 for the time being. The surround and the ikon sub will be at a later stage. Any comments?
