Default World Series - Philadelphia riots

so i just got threw watching some vdieos on youtube of all the philly fans rioting

I must say, i am disgusted of that city,

Destroying City Property, destroying peoples cars, and jumping up on and slowing down a fire truck that was probably trying to get some where it needed to be

in one of the videos a dudes car was being fliped, and the owner of the car came out of the restaurant he was in to see it happen. i swear if i saw that happen to my stuff, i would of shot at everyone standing around watching

How is this celbrating?

why do people think there so cool doing that?

im all for party in the streets, but respect other peoples stuff.

they claim they love there city, yet here they are tyring to destroy it

Check out some of the videos on youtube, just search Philly fans rioting

I was living just outside of Philly in ‘80 when they won the series then. I went out into the streets to whoop it up, and then some people stated to get out of control, so I left the scene. Same thing happened here when the U of M hockey team won the championship - cars turned over, stores broken into, fires…I don’t get how someone can associate willful destruction with celebration.

You can't be serious? You're going to summarize the actions of a few idiots to define an entire city? Do you really believe this is the only city in the history of sports championships has ever turned over cars, rioted, etc.??? Here's a taste of what the lovely city of Boston is capable of (and for the record, I think Boston is a great city):

http://www.cnn.com/2004/US/10/22/fan.death/

Do some research, you'll find plenty more stories like this.

I am from Oakland. City of the dumdf*cks.

On memorial day a while back, the city held a BBQ in most of the big parks for the residents. The BBQ fliers said it would end at 6PM. At 6PM there was a "riot" with people setting fires to cars, shooting in the air, etc that lasted a good 8 hours (about 2AM). Why? No more free food.

When the Raiders won the AFC championship game, people broke into their local businesses to grab anything they could. The little riot lasted about 24 hours.

When the Raiders lost the Super Bowl, they did the same exact thing again, about a week later. Most of the stores, after losing their inventory TWICE in one month closed, iirc.

There used to be a week long city festival that was held once a year when I was younger. It was closed for a year because of violence and then reopened the next year after community leaders got together. Three years in a row there were at LEAST 2 shootings at the festival, and now they dont have it.

That is why I moved to Nevada.

All this information is very disheartening. I want to live on my own island.

I am so thankful the election wasn't close. Could you imagine the rioting that would have taken place if the lead was minuscule?
