Doom Blu-ray

Doom Blu-ray Review

Doom Blu-ray BD DVD

As noted in another thread, this is the movie I said I liked as a big DOOM fan. Never said anything about enjoying it.

I'll probably request it as a birthday gift. I keep an Amazon wish list to track which movies I want. The "highest" rating are the ones I buy upon release. Anything with a "high" rating, like DOOM, I let sit for weeks and weeks - months even. It's one of those titles I would like to have, but not with my own money.

Anyone looking forward to this one?

Yep I'm looking forward to it even though I just broke down and bought the DVD last month

Going to buy it on day one with a few other releases that day. Street Fighter!

I remember seeing this movie in theaters and couldn't stop myself from laughing at some parts. Doom is easily one of my favorite games of all time though so I will be adding this to my collection when it dips below $15

I've seen it on TV...like StarzHD or something, but I think I'll live with out the People's Eyebrow in space.

Hope you get it though...without your own money

I really hate when they use generic art on the disc.

Am I the only one here who bought this yet? I got it the other day, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It would have been better if they had followed the game's story line more closely, but they didn't. Oh well, I liked it anyway.

I got this but pretty much only for the First Person sequence, the film sucked but that sequence was amazing.
I really wish someone would come out with an actual movie that follows the game or even an animated movie. Now one thing I thought they did right with this film was make Karl Urban the main guy which I think he's actually a perfect choice for playing "Taggart".

yeah I had high hopes for this but it was a let down lol I just don't get how hard it is to tell a story that has game based on it and get it right.

Watched this last night and loved the sound. It looks pretty good too but the sound was great. Very nice atmosphere.

Anyway, I saw it at the theater and have the unrated extended DVD as well but I was wondering if the nudity was the only addition in the extended versions. It has been a few years since I saw at the theater and I can't remember for sure.
