Default Noise coming from rear surround and center speakers

Hi,

I have a Sony STR DG720 receiver hooked up to Polk RM6750 and noticed that when I put a movie on pause (or when there is no sound coming from movie), there is a continuous high pitched noise coming from my center and rear speakers. The fronts are connected to the subwoofer and do not have this noise. This leads me to believe that the subwoofer connected to the fronts are cancelling out this noise, and that the noise is created by the receiver (I could be wrong). Can someone help me with this? What is creating this and how do I solve it?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Sounds like a grounding issue. Check to make sure you have the grounded light on your surge protector (which I'm hoping you have all your equipment connected to).

Driver King,

I checked and it is grounded. Is there anything else that you can think of?
