Is Traitor worth checking out? - Blu-ray Forum

Has anyone seen Traitor? Never made it to see this one-it looked interesting but we've all been down that road before...honest thought anyone?

The movie was pretty good. Don Cheadle was great in the lead role, and it was always great to see Guy Pearce in a movie, especially this one! I still might blind buy Traitor on Blu-ray, if the reviews for the disc are any good.

It was about a devout Muslim man working as a double agent inside an extremist group. The thrust of the story is his dedication to his religion coming into conflict with the false interpretation being used to do unspeakable things in the name of Allah.

I have it at the top of my Netflix que and will be returning a couple of movies tomorrow with the hopes that this shows up on Tuesday. It peeked my interest when it initially was released but I never got to see it. I really want to see it now so I can see how Don Cheadle handles an action role. Can he be a better Jim Rhodes than Terrance Stamp?

Movie was good with a pretty good story. Also good performances by Don Cheadle and Guy Pearce, but one I could not watch over and over. It's definitely worth checking out anyway. I would give 4's for PQ and SQ, sorry never checked the extras.

I got my entire Dec order for my video store so I have yet to watch Burn After Reading, Death Race, Eagle Eye, and Passchendaele on blu but can post quick reviews as I screen them.

Somewhat slow to get going and a lil cumbersome, but overall not too bad. Cheadle shows his great range again in this movie though.

If I remember correctly....for those who were going to buy it....it was like $22 or so on Amazon. Somewhere around there. I am going to blind-buy this one I think.

not considered a "blind buy" if you have already seen the movie.

I don't know every movie i see with Don Cheadle in it i just don't like it. I'll have to rent it or something.

I thought it was a good flick and Don Cheadle was excellent as usual.

I was going to blind buy but changed my mind.....I have it in my Blockbuster queue and will certainly rent. If i like then I'll pick it up later

Great cast but the movie is not so good. Worth maybe seeing once but not a buy. If you never saw it you wouldn't be missing much either.

I just finished watching it.
It was pretty good (3), I didn't love it but the story was pretty complex and entertaining at the same time.

the Video transfer was very good (4) but the audio here is what blew me away. It was awesome, the score was very well portrayed on this 5.1 trueHD track (5) I didn't watch any of the xtras but we do get some nice trailers for "Righteous Kill" & "Henry Poole Is Here" on HD.

I thought this was a fantastic movie. Cheadle is an amazing actor and I've always been impressed with his various roles. As much as iI enjoyed this movie, I personally won't be purchasing it.

For me, some movies are great for a one-time watch, but nothing more. If you haven't seen it I would recommend, at the very least, a rental.
