Sony KDL-40S4100 and 1080p24 source - Blu-ray Forum

When displaying a 1080p24 source on the KDL-40S4100, should Cinemotion be set to Auto or Off? What is the impact on displaying a 1080p24 source with either setting? TIA

I keep my cinemotion on auto for blu rays, not sure if that is right or wrong but I couldn't tell the diff when I switched it off while watching Parika last night....and I tested it just for you!

That's what Sony Support told me also, but they couldn't give me a technical reason why (I'm a communications system engineer.

). The "tech" just repeated the marketing line about the various capabilities.
