Default Panasonic SA-BX500 on it's way

I just received a notice from J&R Music World that my SA-Bx500 receiver has been shipped.I can't wait to hear my blu-rays with HD sound. With 130 x7 it should perform nicely with my Technics THX speaker system.I will let everyone know how it sounds when I get it installed.

I've been wanting to hear some personal reviews on this receiver outside of the unfavorable ones they have on cnet. Please let us know! The more competition on the market out there, the better for us consumers!

If the competition is more expensive with less features however, it isn't really that much of a competition than. Supposedly it sounds pretty good though.

It has Dolby True Hd, DTS Master Audio, optical hook ups for my $2000 DVD Player....and it matchs the rest of my Panasonic/Technics equipment....can't see what other features I need.

I posted a few weeks ago about how this receiver sounded if anyone had heard it, but I really never got any responses. I am currious to know what people think of it, although for the $800 price tag i would prefer the Pioneer 1018 or MY SONY 920.

Please let us know what you think... I believe this is Panasonics first attempt at a true receiver, not part of a HTiB.... or at least in a long time.

I only paid $469.62 at J&R.I will let you know how it does when I get it (hopefully before Christmas).I did see where one reviewer said he compared it to the Sony and it had better surround processing. It may not have a bazillion HDMI inputs (only 4) but since I am going to use it for blu-ray and DVD that's plenty for me.
