Default Sony KDS 60A3000 sets still avaliable...

I happened to walk into Badcock Furniture yesterday with my wife. I noticed that they had a small tv section on their show floor. I walked over there and noticed they had a KDS 60A3000 set on display. Sure enough, they still stock this set. The only thing is they are selling it at a pretty hefty price tag, 2599.99.

IMO, this is the best rear projection tv period! I just wanted to spread the word in case anyone was still looking for one of these tv's. If you have Badcock near you, chances are they have them there in stock.

man that seems way over priced considering sony dropped the rear projections line. I sold my 60 sxrd used to a friend for 800 bucks. I dont think I paid that much for mine when i bought it new, that was a good while ago too.

I own the 60A3000 and it is an outstanding display.

However, $2600 still seems high for a floor model. Since Sony stopped making these about a year ago, maybe this place feels they can charge that much. Maybe they could also be talked down.

I agree that it is a high price but it's not the floor model. If you go Badcock Furniture online, it lists the same price through their website.

My best buy still hasn't got rid of thier display 60" Sxrd (but they did unplug it and there is no price on it anymore... looked forgotten.)

I asked about it today they said the open box price was $1999 but all open box TV's are 30% off because they have way too many of them just now so it would be $1399. (no tax here.... yippee.)

Anyway,... I'm tempted to buy it....

But... I currently have a Sony G70 projector and run a 81" screen so I can't really get into moving to such a smaller screen.

I hope sxrd front projectors are still around if I ever want to move onto something newer than my current setup.

I bought mine a year ago on sale for $1899, so the $1999 "open box" price is no steal for a TV over a year old. However, definitely get it for $1399. I recommend you get their warranty, as it's four years and covers two lamp replacements. That reminds me, I need to call Sony and tell them that my "Change lamp" light is on (it isn't, but I want a free one from Sony).
