Sony KDS-60A3000 Stand Question - Blu-ray Forum

To make the long story short. I've been looking for a stand for the Sony KDS-60A3000 TV. I wanted to buy the matching stand for this set, but I don't want to pay $349.99-$399.99 fot it. I found this other stand that I REALLY like (http://www.crutchfield.com/S-dCr8g2W...0&I=158SURS51U) and a local store has it on clearance for $49.99!! It's a sweet deal for this stand since it has been dicontinued and some retailers still sell it for $299.99. Based on the dimensions of this stand, it looks like it would hold the Sony KDS-60A3000 just fine, but the only thing that concerns me is the opening on the top shelf. Owners of the Sony KDS-60A3000, do you all think the base of this TV will fit in that opening with little to no modification? I am willing to modify it if necessary that's not a big deal. I just want to make sure it is possible for me to use this stand with the Sony KDS-60A3000.

Call Crutchfield and ask if that stand will fit. They are knowledgeable and helpul.

Chances are if it fits the XBR60, more then likely it will work with the A series.

I took a look at both tv and stand dimensions and it looks as if the stand is a little larger than your tv so other than finding a way to secure the tv to the stand i think your in good shape . I am looking at the overall dimensions of the stand compared to the overall of the tv . I had the same deal when i bought my 60 and i found the stand half price on ebay so i went that route .Good luck in your search .

Well crutchfield discontinued it. Not sure if they still be able to help me. I guess I can always try.

It never hurts to ask.....for $50, I'd buy it however and if the cutout is not perfect....modify it......you can't lose for that price!
