Default 2 different movies listed as 2.35:1, one with black bars, one without??

I have The Prestige and Night at the Museum both are listed as Widescreen 2.35:1. My copy of Night at the Museum plays with no black bars on top and bottom....but my copy of The Prestige does have the bars, can anyone explain why this is?

Thanks,

Mike

According to IMDB, the theatrical release was at 1:85 and their DVD specs say 2:35. I'm chalking this up to a misprint on the DVD packaging. I have not seen the movie (Blu-ray or in theaters) so I cannot say one way or the other.

It appears not just to be a misprint on the packaging, but both Amazon.com and this site have it listed as a 2.35:1 aspect ratio movie as well....It is a great movie with awesome picture and sound..so I am not going to complain.

Night Of The Museum is a 1.85 movie. It's a misprint on the box. And I saw it in Imax so I can confirm it wasn't a Scope 2.39 ratio movie.
