Since Season 7, SVU has been presented in full HD on NBC. I'd like to see the next seasons released on BD. Anyone agree?

Yes, SVU is my favorite Law & Order. Would love to see these come to blu!

Yeah. I saw it's not completely necessary to put this on Blu-Ray, but if it's already in HD, why not. Otherwise it's not big deal, I can just buy the DVD's.

AFAIK, all law and orders (including the original) were shot on film. They can all be released on BD in HD.

FWIW, starting with season 4 (I believe), all seasons of SVU have been released in widescreen on DVD. This is nothing new.

Yeah but I doubt they'd start from the beginning, especially since Year 8 is out next week on DVD. And it's not necessary to start from the beginning. If they could just start with Year 9 that would be good enough for me.

But it's not complete. What are they going to do? Release them individually or 1-25 and then the rest?

Three options, and they can do all three if they want...

-Individual seasons. All the individual seasons for the shows.

-Five-season sets, like they do with South Park. Somewhat cheaper than the individual seasons, but it's all them discs on a giant flipper.

-A big-ass 25-season set. That's a lot of flippers.

Do the same thing with all the other L&Os too, which have a total of 68 seasons across eight series.

Between all eight shows, all 68 seasons, easily several million Blu-rays sold.
