Default What is the best Law & Order series?

Everyone has sat home on a weekend, flipped around the channels and wasted a good percentage of their life watching Law & Order.

I personally like Special Victims unit. I always like to see a rapist/child molestor get what is coming to them and they seem to deliver on that front, the fact that I think Mariska Hargitay has a bad case of the hotness doesn't hurt either.

Guess I'm vice versa on that. I tried to watch a few episodes but kept getting distracted...

There was a 4th variant for a while called L&O:Trial by Jury. The first few episodes were really good and then the next ones were really bad. It got cancelled before the end of the first season. It is available on DVD, however.

None of them, it's nuts how many Law & order & CSI series there are. How many of these do we truly need? I cannot wait for the day we get CSI Fargo North Dakota or Law & Order Burlington Vermont Special Unit

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that. Wasn't it more like reality based?

Jeeze, that was called Law & Order: Crime and Punishment. I can't even keep this series straight.

Anyone every catch Mariska in her stunning film debut "Ghoulies"?

For the past few years it's been SVU by a considerable margin. The stories have been more involving and the characters more interesting. The format is not as rigid as the original.

I will say that i've been very pleasantly suprised and encouraged by the improvement in the original this year. Despite my initial reservations about Anthony Anderson i've enjoyed his contribution to the show. More importantly the show is focusing again on Law and Order, not always the conspiracies behind everything in order to have a twist ending. It's really back to being about the crime itself with compelling stories. I also like the combination of ADA Cutter and the stunningly gorgeous Rubirosa!

I can't stand Criminal Intent. I have only seen a handful of those.

Absolutely love the other two...but I really miss Sam Waterston.

No doubt SVU. Not because of the kind of crimes they deal with, but kind of yes, because of those types of crimes, it's always something new and interesting. Not only that, but SVU always seems to have the best actors all around, regular cast and extras. Where as with the other shows, seems like rarely have decent actors.

Michael Moriarty, Jerry Orbach, Sorvino, Chris Noth, Jill Hennessy etc.

Was the best.

Now its SVU. Marisa holds it down.

I haven't watched CI for at least a year. Might check it out to see what Jeff Goldblum adds to it. SVU has to be my favorite, I like the scene where the suspect looks at Stabler and says"If that's the guy that's questioning me, I definitely want my lawyer."
