French distributors M6 Video are set to release Bound on May 27th. (A Japanese release is set for January 28th).

Any news on this?

Has it been established if it is region free for sure, yet?

Has anyone run across a review of this yet?

Today is supposed to be the release date, but amazon.fr is representing the following:
"Usually ships in 1 to 4 weeks."

Also, I'm guessing that forced subtitles means that there is no way to turn them off. Am I guessing right?
Does this have forced subtitles?

Hello,

I asked that this title is shipped together with the Gaumont releases and it is apparently still in transit. I know that a lot of people are waiting to hear about quality, coding etc, so as soon as they arrive I will post quick confirmations here before the reviews go up on the site.

I highly doubt the French ever censored Bound in the first place...that's a USA thing.

Well it says "rated R" which would mean (if I'm thinking right) the MPAA rating R.

Just did a quick google search.

The R- Rated version is 107 minutes

The Unrated version is 108 minutes.

If you're looking at the Blu-ray.com listing, that's because we always use American ratings.

From IMDB:

The next category would be "Not under 16", and some pornography even gets away with this. Nah, I was going by what was posted in the 1st post in this thread. It said rated R and 107 minutes.

It'd be nice if it was the unrated version though.

edit: now that I think about it though that's probably a write up of the dvd.

It looks like no forced subtitles http://www.dvdrama.com/rw_fiche-11365-.php look at the lowest sreen capture it shows subtitle options sans/avec=without/with. It could refer to the Audio Commentaries, but i don't think so.

I can confirm it is region free (and subtitles can be turned off)
