Default So my cities newspaper is doing a Oscar Oracle thing

If you get all 6 catagories right (best picture, best actor, best actress, supporting actor/actress, and director) you are put in a hat to win free movies for a year, 2nd place gets 6 months of free movies, 3rd place gets 3 months of free movies.

I am stumped on best supporting actor/actress

****!

I dont think its that easy, he is up against 4 other great performances...this is the Oscars, not the Golden Globes and I think Heath could win, I think he could easily not win.

From reading the Variety article where they interviewed some of Heath Ledger's friends and business associates, I think he'd be quite happy if he lost. If that happens however, it will be the final nail in the Oscar's coffin.

Well to many of the winners it can lead to really big pay checks in the future.

It's peer recognition, one of the highest compliments you can receive in any field. The Awards used to not be aired but over time, the public wanted to see their pretty people. The Oscars are NOT for you, they're for Hollywood, no matter how much Ocscar.com and ABC try to tell you to get excited about it. They're just grabbing ad money that is aimed at you.

Go watch the People's Choice Awards.

Gort speaks the truth.

But don't tell anyone who's a film school Wes Anderson fan that... they're likely to crap their pants and cry in a corner.
