Default APC Power Conditioner Owners Thread

Since so many of us seem to be buying APC power conditioners, I thought it might be a good idea to start an owners thread to handle the many questions that are bound to be asked. I have one for the APC H15 model to start it off.

The manual seems to lack more detailed directions for what type of components should be connected where. Being relatively new to the power conditioner subject myself, I thought I'd ask our resident experts for some advice.

The manual lists it's four types of filtered outlets on page 8: Digital, Video, Analog and High Current.

APC H15BLK Manual_7.jpg

I get most of the connections as they are pretty obvious. I do have a couple of questions though. Here's how I intend to connect them:

Digital Filter:
CD -
DVD - Oppo DVD
DVR - Dish DVR
CATV/SAT -
MONITOR -
AUX - PS3

Video Filter:
TV - Sammy LCD
VCR -

Analog Filter:
TUNER/AUX -
PREAMP/RCVR - Pioneer VSX-1018AHK

High Current:
SUBWOOFER - Energy S10.3
AMPLIFIER -

The manual says, "APC recommends you plug your devices into the outlets as marked, in order to assure optimum protection for your equipment." With that said, where is the best place for the PS3?

It goes on to say, "Any digital device can be plugged into the digital outlets, any video device can be plugged into either of the video outlets, etc. Example, if you have a cable box and a satellite receiver, but no monitor, you can plug the cable box into the "CATV/SAT" outlet, and the satellite receiver into the "Monitor" outlet." It sounds to me that any digital filter outlet will do. Is that correct?

Also, the unit is equipped with "Isolated Noise Filter Banks". Does that mean each outlet within a bank is isolated from the other outlets or are each of the banks merely isolated from the other banks?
