Default The Epic Battlestar Galactica series discussion thread

Today at NOON EST, new Galactica webisodes starring Athena and Gaeta. Apparently these are set at the end of where Season 4 left off with its midseason finale. I am excited about these and the new season. Here is the link for the site where the webisodes will be:

I'm confused
I'm at season 3 right now on DVD.
I thought season 4 was the final season?
So there're new episodes and they are on internet only?

Season 4 is the final season. But they split it up into two seperate mini seasons. The second half of season 4 starts in the middle of January. The previous half was last summer. The webisodes are just a series of shorts with a continuous storyline that fits in between the halves of season 4. Hope that helps.

Might have to check these out. As much as I'm upset the show is ending, I can't wait for the final season to start.

Default Anybody watch Battlestar Gallactica?

Never seen one episode, but was wondering if it's a decent show.

I really wanted to get into it but like "Lost" and "Heros" it went into to many different directions and made it not so fun to follow if you missed an episode here and there. I plan on watching some of this season since they get to earth.

I've seen quite a few people on that show who used to be in a Canadian teen mellowdrama called Edgemont.

I have only seen a few Battlestar Gallactica episodes, but I liked what I saw.

It's a fantastic series... One of the few that I'll definitely be buying on BR (Lost and Heroes are fun, but there's nothing there that I'd want to rewatch).

It's probably my favorite TV show on at the moment.

I was actually rather unimpressed by the mini series when I started watching it last year (I only just started a few months back), but once real episodes started I was hooked.

I'd say give it a chance -- mini series + a couple episodes should give you an idea of the series. It definitely is a show that you can't be missing episodes of though.

Default Battlestar Galactica Season 4: The End

This past Friday, Jan. 16th, we had the first of the last episodes of what I think will remain a great classic of TV Sci Fi.

It started of with a bang (pun intended), not only revealing who is the 5th Cylon, but also a few other things happening.

[Show spoiler]So what do you guys think? If Ellen Tigh was the 5th, isn't Starbuck a Cylon? Seemed pretty clear that the presence of a "Hub" of some kind on Earth was hinted at, and that Starbuck would be the 5th Cylon, but then comes along Tigh's revelation that Ellen was with him back in the days.
Also, Duala's suicide: My wife and I were literally WTF?!
Other WTF: The 13th tribe were actually Cylons. So basically Humanoid Cylons are a sort of "ultimate" human that through evolution we would tend to become, but still cannot get rid of our inner traits that lead us to self destruction, via our own creations?

Another great episode imo. Can't wait to see more, even if I know that every episode get us closer to the end of this awesome show.

P.S: haven't been able to find another thread about this in particular, but feel free to merge if I missed it.

[Show spoiler] My wife and I initially thought that maybe everyone is a cylon but I keep going back to the intro where it is stated that there are 12 and we know who 11 of them are so I don't know!

[Show spoiler]I think it may be a mistake to deem Ellen the fifth Cylon based on a memory of Tigh. They've already established with the Six that he imagines her in place of other women. I swear I saw Kara's face there when she first rolled over, I didn't freeze frame it, but either way I'm inclined to think it might be the case. Also it seemed to be Kara's hair there. Also the vision was flawed, as Tigh has aged with Adama. If the fifth Cylon is not Kara, then they're writing themselves into a place where she is a literal act of God, poof, I find my theory more plausibel personally.

chill. its not censorship. its how the hid details so they dont spoil it for anyone. just highlight anything covered like when you copy and past a sentence to reveal the secret message.

Default The Battlestar Galactica Thread

Seeing as how there's only one week to go before the finale, let's have your thoughts fans about the series and how good you think it is.

It is, after all, the best show on television and will be missed when it's gone.

Let's have it folks, did it turn out like you wished, is it better, did you want more out of it?

Most of 4.5 has sucked. But this second to last episode was the best I've seen since the New Caprica stuff at the beginning of season three.

I think 4.5 has been amazing start to finish and tonight's episode was no exception. I have few complaints about BSG in general... It pulled me in with the miniseries and never let go. Sad to see it go but it's going out with a bang!

battlestar galactica has been one of the best science-fiction serie on tv. it has offer us twist and surprise one episode after another for the last couple of years due to great directing, writing, special effects, etc... and with great quality actor like edwards james olmos and mary mcdonnell leadind a groups of great actors who gave their all for this serie it's gonna be sad to see galactica end.
