Default please help, cant view BD on tv after PS3 update? - FIX: turn off auto 24p setting

OK, last tuesday i purchased POTC 1 and 2 on BD. I threw in part one and watched about half the movie to see the quality. from tuesday to thursday I did not watch any BD movies but i did play FEAR alot, and early thursday morning i downloaded the 1.8 update. I had no issues playing any games after the update and watched Pitchblack on DVD tonight to see the upscaling...i tried putting in POTC 2 and a loading screen came up then my TV said no signal. I messed with the PS3 controller and the XMB finally came back on the screen...i tried to play the movie and again and same thing...i messed with the upscaler settings as much as i could to see if that would help and nothing...i played with the controller a little and blindly can get some of the extra features to come up like Orlando Bloom talking about he movie and some other photage of director going over story boards or something. The two Titles appear to be DVD quality. I tried POTC 1 and samething, i tried Black hawk down on BD and same thing...no signal. I put in Resevoir dogs on DVD and it plays just fine. And games seem to play fine as well. I am using an HDMI cable and have had no problems until now...ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks alot GreenMatiz...I should have done a search before getting all paranoid about it. Now for a few other questions if you or any one else doesnt mind educating me. What is the difference between the 1080p/60hz and the 24hz? Is 24hz better? Will this limit what i can view on my Samsung LCD? The picture qualuty is great on my TV and I love it, but if it could be better i may have to look for another TV

Read this thread, turn off 24fps, and see if it helps:
