I think most anyone here would agree that this would be great to own on BD. Disney's being pretty slow with this sort of thing though, especially in regards to older animation. I wouldn't expect to see this until after they start pumping out the animated canon titles the way they ought to. Right now they're only SLOWLY putting out a couple Platinum titles per year. If they ever get around to putting out more animation more often, I bet that's when we'll actually have a chance of seeing this thing.

Me too, I hope Dick Tracy (1990) will get the Vista Series treatment when it debuts on Blu-Ray (whenever that will be).

I saw the Vista Series DVD on sale for $9.99 yesterday and I was wondering if anyone knows about it coming to Blu anytime soon?

That's a good bargain, but be aware that the DVD versions have two scenes that were edited or re-animated. From Disneywiki: "Two DVD versions edit the scene where Jessica Rabbit rolls out of the cab after Benny the Cab crashes. The 1999 DVD version reanimated the scene so that Jessica is wearing white panties underneath her dress. When the DVD set was reissued in 2002, the scene was reanimated so that a piece of Jessica's skirt strategically covers Jessica as she rolls down the hill.

A brief scene consisting of the toon Baby Herman passing by a female (human) extra on the set of the opening cartoon and sticking his middle finger up her dress, and then coming back from under the dress with a drool of spit on his lip. This was edited out of the first DVD edition of the movie, though it can be found on editions of the VHS, laserdisc, and DVD issues."
